MEKCO, Inc. careers: manufacturing jobs with more to offer
A steady paycheck matters. So does having time for your life outside of work, learning new skills that open up more opportunities, working with people you can laugh with and rely on, and having a clear path to take on more responsibility and grow your pay.
That’s what a career at MEKCO, Inc. has to offer.
For entry-level production employees, that means starting at $22/hour, with the ability to build toward $28/hour in your first year.
It means steady, year-round work. Learning new skills instead of doing the same repetitive task every day, with direct access to the people who can answer your questions. It means working somewhere that has made room for fun, too, with perks that can include anything from pizza lunches to ice cream trucks.
And, at the end of the day, you’ll be able to point to something that helps protect the infrastructure people rely on — for water, communications, energy, and more — and say, I helped make that.
Manufacturing work doesn’t have to mean endless repetition.
Some manufacturing jobs can feel like an endless loop: Same part, same movement, same routine, every day.
That’s not how the work at MEKCO is built.
Custom fiberglass work is different. Products vary in size, shape, features, and specifications, which means the work can vary from project to project, too. You’ll have opportunities to work on different tasks, build new skills, and see something different take shape instead of doing the same repetitive task all day.
You still get the satisfaction of hands-on work, without feeling stuck in the same routine every day.
Do work that matters.
At MEKCO, you’re not just making a fiberglass structure. What you build helps protect the systems people count on.
You’ll help protect the systems that clean water, move wastewater, carry fiber-optic communications, or keep power running.
Your work may end up miles away, but its purpose is close to home: Helping protect the water, power, communication, and other systems people rely on every day.
Build your skills. Grow your paycheck.
You don’t need manufacturing experience to start in an entry-level production job at MEKCO. If you’re willing to learn, MEKCO will help you build the skills you need on the manufacturing floor.
And if English isn’t your first language, that doesn’t have to stop you. Tools like Google Translate are welcome to help with written instructions and training.
As your skills grow, so can your responsibilities and your pay.
For example, in production, you’ll start at $22/hour and can build toward $28/hour within your first year as you complete training, show your reliability, and take on more responsibility.
And your earning potential doesn’t stop there. MEKCO’s pay scale continues above $28/hour based on skill, merit, and continued growth.
Benefits built for life outside of work, too.
What you earn matters. So do the things that help you take time off, care for yourself and your family, save for the future, and feel appreciated at work.
MEKCO’s benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) match, and performance-based rewards.
Some jobs also include perks tied to the role. In production roles, MEKCO covers your first pair of prescription safety glasses and pays half the cost of your safety shoes.
And MEKCO makes room for some fun at work, too. Past team activities have included pizza lunches, brat fries, ice cream trucks, retreat days, company celebrations, and more.
Be part of a team, not a number.
MEKCO is a smaller company, and that changes what work feels like.
There aren’t layers of people between you and the person who can answer your question. Employees can talk directly with engineers and managers, share feedback, and get the information they need to keep a project moving.
It’s a place where people work hard, help each other out, laugh together, and enjoy being part of the team.
Close to Sheboygan and Manitowoc. Home by the afternoon.
MEKCO is located in Newton, Wisconsin, a short drive from both Sheboygan and Manitowoc and convenient to communities throughout Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and Calumet counties.
Production work is first-shift, with the workday running from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
That gives you a steady, 40-hour workweek year-round, plus afternoons free to spend with family, friends, and the activities you enjoy.
